    \nIn absolute terms, this means activating over 1 GW of RES projects, leading to\nfurther market stimulation and new job opportunities.\n

    \nFor the program’s purposes, the Energy Communities model will be utilized. Each region will establish a Citizens’ Energy Community, involving the respective OTAs, GOEB-TOEB, and DEYAs.\n

    \nAll consumption points will be gathered for virtual net metering, studying specific consumption profiles to determine the energy needs that RES stations must cover.\n

    \nSubsequently, competitive procedures will be conducted for each region, where interested RES stations will offer financial bids (\u20ac\/MWh) for the required energy quantity.\n

    \nSelected RES stations will be compensated for the energy they produce and\nvirtually net meter with the beneficiaries’ consumption for a 20-year duration.\n

    \nSimultaneously, a virtual net metering agreement will be signed, as previously applied, for the beneficiaries virtually net metered from RES stations. The major difference is the implementation of virtual synchronous net metering, defining compensation for RES stations and the method of consumption net metering.\n\nHowever, this differentiation serves as the major safety mechanism for electricity suppliers, optimizing their participation cost in wholesale markets.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
